500 Years of Reformation - Talks at Java Monkey

"The Abolition of Slavery, Modern Democracy, Mass Literacy... so much good was birthed out of The Reformation."

Hey, neighbors, I wanted to invite you all to come out to a series of special events that we are hosting at Java Monkey Coffee shop in downtown Decatur. It’s called the 500 years of Reformation and it is going to be a series of four talks (once a month for the next four months) on the history and legacy of the Reformation. The first one is next Tuesday, July 11th from 7-8pm.

It's been 500 years since that angry monk Martin Luther nailed the 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany.

The Reformation heritage is a beautiful movement of human dignity, literacy, abolition, and so much more. Come if you are interested in theology, history, social change, good coffee, or just come and meet some new friends. We will also be giving away copies of The Freedom Movement - a brief history of fights for human dignity throughout the past 500 years that finds its roots in The Reformation. Please reach out if you have any questions. Austin Prince austin@TheGatheringDH.com
